What You’ll Be Doing
As the APAC Corporate Security Operations Manager, your job will be to build secure, resilient, and scalable systems that protect OpenAI’s people and property.
You’ll work across departments and regions to align physical security strategy with global standards — all while ensuring cultural fit and operational excellence in the APAC landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct physical security programs across OpenAI’s APAC offices.
- Build policies for access control, office safety, and emergency response.
- Advise on executive protection, international travel, vendor vetting, and IP protection.
- Respond to employee concerns with empathy, speed, and accountability.
- Guide the security design for new offices and expansions in APAC.
- Lead a team of security professionals and manage third-party vendors.
- Monitor regional risks like serious crime, natural disasters, or civil unrest.
- Represent OpenAI security at external meetings and internal strategy sessions.

Required Skills & Experience
- 15–20 years of experience in corporate security or law enforcement.
- Strong background in physical security operations, ideally in a tech-driven environment.
- Deep understanding of security tools: access control, guard force, SOCs.
- Proven leadership in managing vendors, budgets, and cross-border teams.
- Clear communicator with high emotional intelligence.
- Strong understanding of security issues across APAC countries.
Bonus Points For
- Experience with Prometheus, emergency comms systems, and travel risk tools.
- Fluency in multiple languages spoken in the APAC region.
- Past experience managing high-risk travel or executive protection plans.
