Senior Accountant, Platforms and Ecosystems Controllership at Google Singapore
Google is looking for a Senior Accountant to join the Platforms and Ecosystems Controllership team in Singapore. In this role, you’ll handle end-to-end accounting processes, manage financial reporting accuracy, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across APAC and globally.
You’ll play a key part in driving efficiency, supporting business initiatives, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and IFRS standards.

Job Responsibilities
- Take ownership and accountability for accuracy, timeliness, effectiveness and efficiency of APAC regional financial reporting and processes related to controllership for your area (e.g., G1 subscription).
- Participate in cross-finance readiness for product initiatives, working through Tax, Legal, Treasury, Accounting and Operational implications, providing product and jurisdictional expertise.
- Partner with key stakeholders to enable successful launch operationalization/implementation. Participate in system design and accounting testing as required.
- Collaborate with global and regional cross-functional teams to lead and manage execution of global business programs with an APAC focus.
- Act as the first point of contact and provide advisory support to the business on commercial agreements, ensuring timely agreement execution and compliance. Articulate risks to management, provide insights and make recommendations to help inform decision-making.
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 5 years with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.
- Experience with accounting principles, including US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/CA preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS principles.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
